Potter County Judge Nancy Tanner isn’t seeking re-election and two candidates have filed to seek her job.

Attorney Michelle Eggleston is running unopposed for the Republican nomination for County Judge, while mediator Jerri Glover is running unopposed for the Democratic nomination. Both candidates will win their respective primaries and will face off in the November 2026 general election.

According to Potter County Republican Chairman Dan Rogers, a handful of candidates expressed interest in filing in the Republican primary at the last minute, but ultimately passed on the move.

The County Judge is the presiding officer of the County Commissioners’ Court and has several responsibilities related to budgeting, probate, and mental health matters.

The primary election will be held in March 2026.
