Lubbock voters have given Mark McBrayer the green light to serve another two terms as the city’s top elected official.
According to unofficial election results from Saturday night, McBrayer won re-election with 70 percent of the vote. McBrayer was trailed by Stephen Sanders, who won 19 percent, Peggy Bohmfalk, who received 8 percent, and Todd Winans, who received 3 percent.
McBrayer, a Lubbock attorney, was first elected in 2024 after having served on the Lubbock City Council. This marks the first time a Lubbock mayor has been re-elected since 2020, when then-incumbent Dan Pope narrowly won re-election against Sanders.
