Incumbent Lubbock Mayor Mark McBrayer is facing three challengers in his bid for re-election this year.

McBrayer, a Lubbock attorney and former city councilmember, has served as mayor since 2024, when he was elected to replace then-incumbent Tray Payne. This year, McBrayer is running for re-election and is facing three challengers. They are: Stephen Sanders, a veteran and activist who has sought the Lubbock mayoral office in several past elections; Peggy Bohmfalk, a content creator; and Todd Winans, a Lubbock business owner.

The last time McBrayer was on the ballot, he defeated Steve Massengale in the 2024 runoff for Lubbock mayor, with 72 percent of the vote.

This election will be decided on May 2nd.
