Lubbock County Commissioner Launches Congressional Bid

Lubbock County Commissioner Jason Corley is on the ballot to be the next congressman from the South Plains.

Last week, Corley, a member of the Lubbock County Commissioners’ Court, filed his application for the ballot in the Republican primary for U.S. House District 19. The seat is vacant as incumbent Congressman Jodey Arrington announced that he is not seeking re-election.

Corley joins Donald May, a Lubbock doctor, and Bienvenido US founder Abraham Enriquez on the ballot in the Republican primary.

The primary will be held in March 2026.
