APD Investigating Northeast 17th Homicide

Amarillo Police are investigating a homicide that took place on Northeast 17th Avenue.

According to APD, on Wednesday afternoon (May 22nd), officers were dispatched to 3611 Northeast 17th Avenue on a reported cardiac call. When officers arrived, they found a deceased person inside of the residence. At the time APD released original information on the call, officers asked for the public’s help in contacting the residents of the home.

It was later announced the death of the person, Kenee Griffing, 24, had been ruled a homicide. The investigation is ongoing.
