APD Investigating Sunday Homicide

The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a homicide from Sunday morning.

According to APD, early Sunday, officers were called to Club Vibe at the 5600 block of Amarillo Boulevard East. Officers were dispatched on reference of a shooting, with the shooting victim transported to a local hospital where he later died. The victim was identified as Dwight Terry, 19. Justice of the Peace Debbie Horn has ordered an autopsy.

The suspect in this homicide was not in custody at time of the press notification. Investigators have obtained a murder warrant for Jody Joe Lewis, 22. APD is reporting Lewis is considered armed and dangerous.
