A garage fire that occurred on Monday night in Amarillo caused $50,000 in damage.
According to the Amarillo Police Department, crews were dispatched at 7:03pm to reports of a fire at 2908 Detroit. When crews arrived, they found smoke coming from inside of a two car garage. Crews entered the garage, performed searches and extinguished the fire.
The fire was extinguished 13 minutes after crews arrived.
Amarillo's Fire Marshal has ruled the fire accidental. The cause of the fire is believed to have originated from within the parked car that was inside of the garage.
Damages are estimated at $50,000.
