Crews to Repair Large Hole on 15th Avenue

A large hole in the middle of 15th Avenue is currently the project on tap for some road workers.

The hole, which had been causing concerns for drivers, became a major issue after a water leak occurred under the area of the hole in December. Crews responded to the water leak and was able to stop the waste, but had to cover the road issue with gravel in the process. Since that time, the hole as sat covered with gravel as many vehicles were left unable to turn on 15th Avenue due to a "Road Closed" sign.

Beginning today, crews responded to 15th Avenue in an effort to repair the hole. Thus far, no timeline has been provided on when drivers can expect 15th Avenue to repoen to traffic.

In the meantime, drivers should avoid 15th Avenue and South Johnson as repairs on the hole continue.
