James Farren is set to retire from his role as Randall County Criminal District Attorney in 2019.
Farren, the long-time criminal district attorney for Randall County, announced his retirement on Monday night following the close of the filing deadline for county offices. Farren did not file for re-election, meaning his assistant, Robert Love, will likely win the seat uncontested.
According to reports, Farren is considering taking his experience to West Texas A&M University, where he will teach criminal justice courses.
Farren has served in office since 1995.
