Suspects Sought in Diamond Theft

Two suspects are being sought in connection with the theft of a diamond from a local jewelry store.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, officers were dispatched Friday afternoon on the report of theft at a jewelry store in the 3300 block of South Bell. When officers arrived, they were informed that two suspects, a black male and a white male, had entered the store separately  and were looking at different items. The white male took a phone call and headed toward the door while the black male grabbed the diamond and ran out of the store.

Both men left the location together and got inside of white midsized Ford SUV driven by a white female.

The black male is described as being in his 20's and about 5'10'' tall. He was wearing a suit with a brown or tan hat. The white male is described as being about 5'10'' tall and wearing a dark colored button-up shirt, blue jeans, and a baseball cap.
