Sheriff Offers Halloween Costume Advice

Randall County authorities have issued tips to local parents on how to keep children safe during Halloween festivities.

To keep children safe, the Randall County Sheriff's Office has released a list of tips for parents. First, parents are advised to choose costumes for children that are flame-retardant. Hypoallergenic, non-toxic makeups are also advised instead of masks, due to vision and breathing risks.

Parents are also advised to choose costumes that are light colored and are not over-sized. Both types of costumes are meant to help make children more safe from falls or road accidents.

Reflective tape is also advised for all costumes.
