Why did you decide to run for office?

This is a very busy court that needs an experienced Judge to immediately starting working for Amarillo.


Please list any of your political, civic or non-profit experience.

I have volunteered at various charitable organizations in Amarillo throughout the 25 years I have lived here. I have been a HOST (helping one student to succeed) math tutor; I am an Eagle Scout and have volunteered doing Eagle Project Reviews; I have volunteered my time at the West Texas Legal Services (divorce); pro bono adoptions; Potter County Sheriff's Shop with a Cop program; Texas Panhandle 100 Club.


What is your educational background?

J.D. Texas Tech School of Law., Texas Tech, B.S. Agriculture with Minors Chemistry & Biology, New Mexico State University


What experience do you have that qualifies you for this position?

I am a former Felony Prosecutor, Dual Board Certified by the State of Texas in Criminal Law and Criminal Appellate Law and have tried hundreds of cases.


How will you best represent the community that elected you?

People coming before the court will be treated with respect and will be able to try their matters in a timely efficient matter.

How are you better suited than your opponent(s) to serve in the position that you are running for?

I the only candidate that has been a trial lawyer for the past 25 years in Amarillo. LIkewise, I am the only candidate who has is board certified in Criminal Law which is the primary work of the court. Finally, no other candidate has had as many trials as I have had here in the Panhandle.


Why should voters choose you on March 6th?

I am the candidate with the most experience here in Amarillo who won't have to learn "on the job" on how to be a Judge in a trial court. I have the experience, knowledge and temperament necessary to start serving my fellow residents of Amarillo as Judge of Potter County Court at Law #1
