Potter County Tax Office Chief of Staff Jake Collier has been appointed to serve on a state board.

Earlier this month, Collier was appointed by the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles Board of Directors to serve on the Motor Vehicle Industry Regulation Advisory Committee. In his new role, Collier will serve among a number of other stakeholders from the motor vehicles industry and tax offices in providing the board advice and recommendations on policies aimed at regulating the industry.

Collier will be the only representative from the Texas Panhandle serving on the board.

A native of the Wichita Falls area, Collier has served on the leadership team of the Potter County Tax Office since January 2025.
