In the primary election for U.S. House District 13, voters across the Panhandle and Northwest Texas will be selecting their candidate to face former Amarillo City Councilman and presumptive Democrat nominee Mark Nair in the November general election.
U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Amarillo) is seeking re-election after flirting with a bid for the U.S. Senate earlier this year. Jackson is being opposed in the primary by Chasity Wedgeworth, a pro-marijuana business owner from Amarillo.
Jackson, if elected, will serve his fourth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. When he first ran for Congress in 2020, Jackson promised to be a conservative fighter for his district. We believe Jackson has kept his promise and deserves another two years in Washington.
Having a congressman like Jackson in Washington has put the Panhandle on the map. His relationship with President Trump and his strong support for conservative priorities in Washington have made him an effective, reliable representative for District 13. He’s a good representative and should absolutely be the Republicans’ standard-bearer in the November general election against Nair.
We recommend Ronny Jackson for U.S. Representative, District 13.
Early voting runs from February 17 through February 27. Election Day is Tuesday, March 3.
