Every election season, candidates on the ballot make promises about what they will do for the people they are asking to elect them. Occasionally, a candidate comes along who not only offers promises, but also a record of delivering results.
In this election, Comptroller Don Huffines is that candidate.
Huffines, a former state senator and businessman from Dallas, is the Republican nominee for comptroller. He was also appointed to the office in the summer following the resignation of Kelly Hancock, who was serving as the state’s acting comptroller.
During his time in the Texas Senate, Huffines was consistently ranked as one of the most conservative lawmakers in Austin. However, his record of results extends far beyond just the partisan, having introduced bills and scored legislative victories supported by those on both sides of the aisle. A champion for lower taxes and term limits, Huffines consistently worked to make Texas freer and more affordable for those living here.
In his short time as comptroller, Huffines has already found ways to eliminate and reduce existing taxes, while tackling government fraud head-on.
Huffines has delivered results, both during his time as state senator and during his short tenure as comptroller. Texans should keep him working by voting to elect him to a full term as the state’s top financial officer this November.
We recommend Don Huffines for Texas Comptroller.
