Four District Judges in Potter County are officially seeking re-election in 2026.
Last week, Judges Dee Johnson, Titiana Frausto, Steven Denny, and Ana Estevez announced their re-election campaigns in a joint event hosted at Reed Beverage. All four judges will be wrapping up their current four year terms next year and are hoping to win re-election once again.
Johnson is the 47th District Court Judge, serving an area that includes Potter, Randall, and Armstrong Counties. She was first elected in 2022, defeating Joe Marr Wilson in a runoff election, and was subsequently appointed to the seat by Gov. Greg Abbott later that year. She is a graduate of St. Mary’s University School of Law.
Frausto is the 181st District Court Judge, serving Potter and Randall Counties. She was appointed to the bench by Gov. Greg Abbott in 2020. She defeated one challenger in the Republican primary in 2022. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law.
Denny is the 320th District Court Judge, serving Potter County. He was elected to the bench in 2022, ousting then-incumbent Pamela Sirmon. Prior to becoming a judge, Denny was a criminal defense lawyer in Amarillo. He is a graduate of Texas Tech University School of Law.
Estevez is the 251st District Court Judge, serving Potter and Randall Counties. She was re-elected unopposed in 2022, and was first elected to the bench in 2006. She is a graduate of Baylor University School of Law.
The primary election will be held in March 2026.
