Two candidates have filed treasurer appointments for potential runs for Randall County Clerk in 2026.

According to campaign finance filings from Randall County, GiGi Yeats and Marie McNutt have both filed appointments of a campaign treasurer for potential runs for County Clerk. The filing of a campaign treasurer is a prerequisite for any candidate anticipating to raise or spend campaign funds.

Yeats is the current chief deputy of the Randall County Clerk’s office, according to commissioners’ court meeting minutes. Yeats appointed Shantel S. Hartwell as her campaign treasurer.

Meanwhile, McNutt previously sought the office in 2018, losing in the Republican primary election. During that election McNutt was an employee of Randall County, though no information is publicly available at press time about her current employment. Her campaign treasurer is Stan A. McNutt.

The incumbent County Clerk, Susan Allen, was first elected in 2018, emerging from a three-way primary to win the job. Allen was subsequently re-elected without opposition in 2022. It’s unclear whether she intends to seek another term in office.

Ballot filing begins next month. Primary election day will be in March 2026.
