Voters across Texas will begin voting on 17 proposed amendments to the state constitution on Monday.
Among the amendments is Proposition 13, which would increase the homestead exemption for property taxes from $100,000 of a property’s value to $140,000. The exemption was last increased in 2023, when voters approved an increase from $40,000 to $100,000.

Early voting will conclude on Friday, October 31st. Election Day will be Tuesday, November 4th.
