City Councilman Cole Stanley has released another television ad promoting his candidacy for Mayor of Amarillo.

The ad, which features a narrator over a video of a rural crossroads, states that the upcoming May 6th election is a “choice between status quo or a new beginning.”

While the ad does not name any of Stanley’s opponents, it paints him as being a break from a “road of bigger government, higher taxes, and wasteful overspending.”

The ad was also posted to his Facebook and YouTube channels.

As we have previously reported, Stanley is one of several candidates for city offices running television ads. Place One candidates Chip Hunt, Josh Craft, and Dean Crump have all reported spending money on television ad buys. Place Three candidates Tom Scherlen and Katt Massey have also spent money on television buys, as has Place 4 candidate Les Simpson.

So far, it appears Stanley is the only candidate for mayor to purchase television ads.
