Amarillo authorities are currently investigating a shooting that look place Sunday night.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 4200 block of Southwest 51st Street on a subject shooting in the apartment complex. Officers located Winton Dalton, 44, who matched the description of the suspect. No injuries were located at that scene, but information was gathered about a possible victim at a different location.

Officers were to a residence in the 5000 block of Southwest 57th to check for victims. Thomas Grensberg, 28, was found deceased in a back room of the residence. Officers interviewed witnesses at both locations.

Dalton was booked into the Randall County Jail on two counts aggravated assault with deadly weapon stemming from the original shooting call, APD reports.
