Authorities are currently investigating a shooting which occurred on North Lamar Street.

According to Amarillo Police, officers were dispatched at 1:11 pm on May 20th to a residence in the 300 block of North Lamar on the report of a shooting. A 17-year-old male at the scene was suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries. Officers were told by witnesses that two males had left the scene in a gray car.

No suspect has been located at this time.
