APD Seeks Public Information on Armed Robbery Investigation

Amarillo Police are currently seeking the public’s help in obtaining information about a local armed robbery.

According to APD, on Thursday night, officers were dispatched to a convenience store robbery in the 4200 block of Southwest 34th Avenue. The victim told officers that a male wearing a black or dark blue hooded sweatshirt, light blue jeans and “very noticeable” red Nike tennis shoes pointed at her with what was believed to be a gun wrapped in a blue bandana. The suspect left the location on foot and is believed to have gone south into a neighborhood.

The suspect is described as a male of unknown race standing at about 5’2” tall and having an average build. There were no injuries reported from this incident.
