The Amarillo City Council will not be meeting on February 19th.
According to the City of Amarillo, the City Council will not be meeting on February 19th, as Mayor Ginger Nelson and Councilmembers Freda Powell and Howard Smith will be visiting Austin for Panhandle Days. The Panhandle Days trip to the legislature has become an annual one for the Amarillo City Council, as it allows local government officials to meet with lawmakers in Austin.
Officials say the gathering will not create a quorum.
