In honor of those who have protected this country’s freedom and those who are serving in the U.S. military, City of Amarillo offices will be closed Monday (Nov. 11) in recognition of Veterans Day. In addition, there IS NOT a meeting of Amarillo City Council on Tuesday (Nov. 12).

For Veterans Day, the schedule for Solid Waste Service and Transit Service will be adjusted accordingly:

● For Solid Waste, residential customers who receive service on Monday will receive service on Tuesday. Residential customers who receive service on Tuesday will receive service on Wednesday. Commercial customers who receive service on Monday will receive service on Tuesday. The city landfill will be closed on Veterans Day.

●Transit Service will operate on a Saturday schedule on Veterans Day. Transit offices will be closed.

● There WILL NOT be a meeting of Amarillo City Council on Tuesday (Nov. 26).

●There WILL NOT be a meeting of Amarillo City Council on Tuesday (Dec. 24) and Tuesday (Dec. 31.)
