The Amarillo Police Department is investigating a homicide that took place this weekend in Amarillo.
On Saturday night, officers were called to the 300 block of Northwest 15th Avenue on the report of a man down, with initial reports indicating that the man was shot. The victim, identified as Garyan Cain, 26, died at the scene.
Desiray Burks, 28, was taken into custody and was booked into the Potter County Detention Center on the charge of murder, according to APD.
