Amarillo Independent School District trustees will discuss the a proposal for a North Heights community school on Monday night.
During the Monday meeting, trustees will hear from legal counsel regarding the proposal for a neighborhood school and the district’s submission to the Office of Civil Rights. Trustees have been discussing the establishment of a neighborhood school in North Heights since last year, at which point trustees agreed to begin holding community discussions about such a proposal.
Also, during the meeting, trustees will approve tax rolls for the fiscal year and will approve several bond related projects.
The Amarillo ISD Board of Trustees will meet on Monday, October 15th in the Board Room of the Amarillo ISD Education Support Center (7200 I-40 West). The meeting is set to begin at 6pm.
