Rudd, YCCO Collecting Gifts for Homeless

Amarillo's lifetime outlaw, Kit Rudd, is leading a drive for Christmas gifts for area homeless, in connection with Yellow City Community Outreach.

Rudd says that the organization is in need of various gifts for Amarillo's homeless. He says that the gifts will be given on Christmas Day, and will be given along with a Christmas dinner.

"I'm asking for gifts that cost no less than $10, and no more than $20, that are non-gender." Rudd told us. "We're looking for something to brighten their day. I'm not looking for socks or anything like that. I'm going for something to brighten their day on Christmas."

Rudd says that Yellow City expects about 50 people to receive gifts. Rudd also said that Yellow City Community Outreach plans on giving each person two to three gifts.

For those who would like to donate gifts for the event, Rudd says that you can donate by contacting him. You can also drop off gifts at the Kings and Queens Mattress Company at 4008 S. Washington. Rudd said that the store is collecting gifts for Yellow City Community Outreach.
