West Texas A&M University's men's soccer team was chosen third in the ranking of league favorites from a new preseason Heartland Conference poll.
The poll surveyed coaches and sports information directors from within the conference. Midwestern State was chosen as the top team by the conference, followed by St. Edward's and WTAMU. WTAMU's Casey Tilly, Ivan Ulloa and Mirza Dizdarevic were all named to the preseason all-conference team.
WTAMU will open the 2017 season on September 1st. The team will be riding high, as they are coming off of a 14-5-1 record for the 2016 season.
