"On Friday, June 30, 2017, the Amarillo Police Department was called to a home in the 1100 block of S. Carolina about an 8 month old baby who was unresponsive.
The baby was transported to a local hospital. There was evidence the baby had been injured and detectives from the Special Victims Unit and the Crime Scene Investigation Unit were called to the scene. The baby died in the hospital on the afternoon of July 1, 2017 and the case was transferred to the Special Crimes Unit.
Justice of the Peace Debbie Horn ordered an autopsy that was performed in Lubbock.
