APD Investigating Murder on North Roosevelt

"On May 14, 2017, at 5:35 PM, officers of the Amarillo Police Department were dispatched to the west alley of the 800 block of N. Roosevelt on a person who was unconscious and not breathing.

Medical personnel arrived and determined the person was deceased.  Special Crimes was called to begin an investigation. 

The deceased was identified as Albert Phillip Pacheco, Jr. age 51.  The cause of death could not initially be determined and Justice of the Peace Thomas Jones ordered an autopsy that was performed in Lubbock this morning. Evidence from the autopsy revealed this case is a homicide. 

There have been no arrests.
