Randall High School slugger Heston Kjerstad was drafted by the Seattle Mariners during the 2017 MLB Draft.
Kjerstad was drafted in round 36 of the draft, as number 1083 overall. Kjerstad's drafting by the Mariners makes him the third area player to be drafted by an MLB team in 2017. Two players from West Texas A&M University were also drafted.
According to Texas Athlete on Facebook, Kjerstad also has an offer from the Division 1 Arkansas Razorbacks.
