Two West Texas A&M University baseball stars are heading to the big leagues.

WTAMU announced today that RHP Marshall Kasowski was drafted as the 400th overall pick in the 13th round of the MLB draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers. Kasowski's drafting makes him the highest draft ever to come from the WTAMU Buffs program.

WTAMU also announced later in the day that Buffs RHP Joshua Payne was drafted 667th overall by the New York Mets. Payne, a native of Utah, became the third Buff to ever be drafted by a Major League Baseball program today.

WTAMU RHP Austin Moore was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in 2016, which made him the first Buff to ever be drafted by an MLB program. Moore currently plays for theColorado Rockies Class A Short Season affiliate Boise Hawks.
