Bomb Threat Shakes Monday Morning Traffic

An early morning bomb threat in west Amarillo caused delays in traffic this morning.

The Amarillo Police Department reports that a call was made regarding explosives in a vehicle in the I-40 and Soncy and Amarillo Blvd. and Soncy area. APD issued a release at 11am this morning asking drivers to stay clear of the area.

APD later released that no explosives or suspicious items were found inside of the vehicle.

The person that made the call to officers is being interviewed by investigators.
