Darvish Meeting with Texas Team Representatives

Free agent pitcher Yu Darvish is talking to Texas representatives as he seeks his new home for the 2018 Major League Baseball season.

It was reported on Tuesday that Darvish met with the Houston Astros in his search for a new home field in 2018. Darvish, formerly with the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Dodgers, met with the Houston Astros this week, according to FanRag Sports. Darvish was the starting pitcher for game seven of the 2017 World Series, which saw the Houston Astros claim the organization's first title over the Dodgers.

Speculation is also mounting that Darvish could be seeking a reunion with his former home team, the Texas Rangers. Darvish was reported to have planned a meeting with Rangers general manager Jon Daniels, although statements have been reported that no contracts were discussed during the meeting between the two.

Darvish's meeting comes on the heels of a meeting with the Chicago Cubs. The Minnesota Twins, Seattle Mariners and Philadelphia Phillies are also being reported as potential spots for Darvish to play in 2018.
