Texas Rangers pitcher Yu Darvish has been taken off of the MLB American League All-Star roster due to his capacity as a starting pitcher for Sunday.
The Dallas Morning News reported that Darvish will not pitch because he has been assigned as Texas' starter against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim on Sunday. Due to that capacity, the Texas Rangers requested that Darvish not pitch in the game. Clayton Kershaw, of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Michael Fulmer of the Detroit Tigers, and Corey Kluber of the Cleveland Indians have also been removed from the All-Star game due to Sunday starts.
Darvish will still be in Miami for the All-Star game but will not participate, according to the Rangers organization.
The Major League Baseball All-Star game is scheduled to take place at 7pm on Tuesday, July 11th. The game will be shown on ESPN.
