The Amarillo Pioneer will be publishing an extended edition of its regular newspaper for Thanksgiving this year.
On Wednesday, November 22nd, the Amarillo Pioneer will publish a larger edition of the Amarillo Pioneer in observance of Thanksgiving. The Wednesday edition is intended to serve as a large edition for both Wednesday and Thursday of next week, as the Pioneer will not be publishing an edition on Thanksgiving Day.
"We followed this format in 2016 and our readers seemed to like it," Pioneer editor Thomas Warren III said. "This allows our readers to have an extended edition with special material for the Thanksgiving holiday."
In addition to the standard news stories published in the Pioneer, the extended edition will also include notes from our readers, special stories from the panhandle, classic Thanksgiving stories and a special edition of "Rosser's Ramblings."
Regular publication will resume on Friday, November 24th.
