Retired Randall County Police Dog Passes

A retired Randall County K-9 Deputy has passed, according to a statement released from the Randall County Sheriff's Office.

Officials from the Randall County Sheriff's Office announced this morning that Luno, a retired K-9 deputy, passed away on Saturday, October 7th. Luno died of natural causes at the age of 11.

Luno was a K-9 deputy for eight years, serving from 2008 until January of 2016. Luno and Corporal Scott Riley, his handler, were a instrumental part of many operations at the Sheriff's Office including drug finds, criminal apprehensions and search warrants. In 2009, Luno was akey part of locating a missing special needs child.

Luno's passing was announced today by the Office with a statement, saying, "Luno will be sorely missed by all who knew him."
