Texas Senator Ted Cruz is joining Florida Senator Marco Rubio in urging American officials to refrain from attending Cuban president Fidel Castro's funeral.
Cruz told ABC News' Martha Raddatz, "I very much hope that we don't see any U.S. government officials going to Fidel Castro's funeral. I hope we don't see Barack Obama and Joe Biden and Hillary Clinton and Democrats lining up to lionize a murderous tyrant."
Cruz's statement on Castro's funeral is not the first since Castro's death, last Friday. Florida Senator Marco Rubio also advised U.S. officials not to attend Castro's funeral. Rubio also called President Barack Obama's statement on Castro's death "pathetic."
