U.S. Rep. Chip Roy will be coming to Amarillo next week for a meet and greet to promote his candidacy for Texas Attorney General.

Roy will be appearing alongside U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson on the evening of Monday, March 30. The two representatives will be promoting Roy’s campaign, as Jackson has already endorsed the Austin-area congressman. The meet and greet will be taking place at Hodgetown, beginning at 5:30pm.

Advancing from the first round of voting earlier this month, Roy is currently locked in a runoff against Galveston State Sen. Mayes Middleton. Both candidates are seeking the Republican nomination to replace Attorney General Ken Paxton next year.

The runoff election is currently slated for May 26, 2026.
