Railroad Commissioner Wayne Christian endorsed District 15 State Board of Education member Aaron Kinsey for re-election this week.

According to the Kinsey campaign, Christian, who is one of three incumbents on the state’s oil and gas regulation body, announced his support for Kinsey over the weekend. Kinsey announced Christian’s endorsement by also highlighting his commitment to protecting Texas’ natural resources.

“Thank you, Railroad Commissioner Wayne Christian, for your endorsement,” Kinsey wrote on social media. “Let’s continue protecting and preserving the legacy of our state’s natural energy resources.”

Kinsey, who was first elected in 2022, is unopposed in the Republican primary election and will face Democrat Morgan Kirkpatrick in November. The area covered by District 15 includes major West Texas cities like Amarillo, Midland, Odessa, Lubbock, and Wichita Falls.
