Amarillo Matters PAC Executive Director Steve Pair has named his picks for Amarillo City Council. In a Facebook post, Pair stated he voted for Dean Crump for Place 1, Katt Massey for Place 3, and Les Simpson for Place 4.

So far, Amarillo Matters PAC has not officially had any involvement in this year’s local election, though, as we have previously reported, several donors and board members have given to Protect and Serve Texas PAC, which produced an Amarillo Matters-style mailer endorsing the same candidates as Pair, as well as Tipps, though Tipps has disavowed the endorsement.

Two of Pair’s endorsed candidates, lottery winner Dean Crump and Ginger Nelson’s former assistant Katt Massey, have utilized the Steve Pair-founded advertising agency SKP Creative for their campaigns, spending over $60,000 combined with the company.

Pair did not state in the post who he supported for Mayor of Amarillo or Amarillo City Council Place 2.

Early voting continues on Monday and Tuesday. Election Day is Saturday, May 6th.
