Finance Report Summary: Amarillo ISD Candidates

The deadline to file 30th Day Before Election finance reports was last Thursday. The Amarillo Pioneer is going through the finance reports in various local races, starting with the candidates for the Amarillo ISD Board of Trustees.

Amarillo Matters Board Member Steve Trafton raised the most amount of money, reporting $33,739.31 in contributions. His largest donor was Ben Archer, who gave $1,500. Trafton spent just under a third of his contributions, totaling $10,357.36 in reported expenses. Most of this went to NoBox, which was paid $9,627.68.

Connie Brown came in second place in terms of contributions, having raised $13,630. According to her finance report, her largest donor, Jim Phillips, donated $10,000. Brown also loaned her campaign an additional $2,000. Her expenses totaled $4,067.39. The largest payee was Promotions Plus of Amarillo, which received a total of $2,610.51.

Jon Mark Beilue had the third-highest contribution total, having raised $9,400. His largest donor was former Mayor of Amarillo Jerry Hodge, who gave the campaign $1,000. Beilue reported a total of $6544.60 in expenses, though the finance report received by The Amarillo Pioneer did not list his expenses.

Incumbent Kimberly Anderson raised the least amount of money, reporting a total of $2,811.15 in contributions. She was her own largest donor, having given herself $1,900. She spent a total of $2,270.83. Her largest expenditure was $1,362.02, which was to buy yard signs from SignOutfitters.com.

Fellow incumbent Dick Ford came in second for lowest amount of contributions, totaling $4,570. Ford’s largest donor, Ken Ridenour, gave $1,000. The only expense listed on Ford’s finance report was $5,501.56 to Double M Marketing.

Robin Leeah had the third lowest contributions total, having raised $8,324.87 during the reporting period. Her largest donor, Elizabeth Davidson, gave her $5192.42. She also received a loan from JR Isbell for $2,100. Her expenses totaled $9,325.82, with the largest payee being Burkett Outdoor Advertising, which received $3,000.

No finance report was received from Ryan Patrick Brown.
