Richard Beyea, a business owner and Vice President of the Perryton ISD Board of Trustees, is the latest candidate to join the Texas State House District 87 Republican Party primary race to replace outgoing incumbent Four Price.

Beyea joins medical claims negotiator Caroline Fairly, realtor Cindi Bulla, and attorney Jesse Quackenbush. (Randall County GOP Chairman Dan Rogers had previously announced a bid for the office but later dropped out and did not file for a place on the ballot.)

This is Beyea’s second run for the Texas House of Representatives. He previously ran for State House District 88 against incumbent Ken King in 2018. (King earned 50.5% of the vote, Beyea earned 19.1%, and Jason Huddleston earned 30.4%.)

The Republican Party primary election is scheduled for Tuesday, March 5th.
