Potter County to Hold Tax Rate Hearing Monday

The Potter County Commissioners’ Court is set to meet on Monday, September 12th. Included on the agenda for the 9:00 am meeting are public hearings on and approvals of the county’s budget and tax rate.

According to documents published by the county, the proposed rate of $0.65335 per $100 of valuation is higher than the no-new revenue rate of $0.63145.

Both portions of the rate (the maintenance and operations portion and the debt servicing portion) are also each above the no-new revenue rates for each portion.

The proposed M&O rate is $0.59424 while the no-new revenue M&O rate is $0.58226. The proposed debt servicing rate is $0.05931, while the no-new revenue debt servicing rate is $0.04919.

The meeting will take place in the Potter County Commissioners’ Courtroom at 500 South Fillmore.
