Local Animal Rescue to Celebrate Fifth Anniversary Saturday

Gracie’s Project, a local non-profit animal rescue and rehabilitation organization will be hosting an event at John Stiff Park this Saturday to commemorate 5 years of saving animals.

The event will take place at the Gazebo at John Stiff Park from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, August 13th. The event will feature food trucks, a bouncy house, a face painting booth, and a microchip and shot clinic from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

“Take the oppotrunity to get your pups up to date on shots and chipped!” reads a social media post by the organization. Microchips, DAPP shots, and Rabies shots will each be $5.

Gracie’s Project will also be hosting it’s second annual Hogs for Paws benefit motorcycle run on Saturday, August 27th. The event will kick off at Tripp’s Harley at 1pm with registration there at noon. The cost is $25 per rider or $40 per couple. and will feature stops in Fritch, Borger, and Panhandle. The event will finish at Skooterz with a silent auction. The pre-registration deadline is Saturday, August 19th. You can email graciesproject21@yahoo.com to sign up.
