The City of Amarillo released a statement today announcing that, as roadwork continues on Western Street in the vicinity of 45th Avenue, traffic patterns will shift beginning Thursday, June 9th.
According to the city’s statement, the contractor for the project “will be closing the west side of Western Street north of 45th Avenue and shifting traffic to the east side of the street.” As for traffic at the intersection, traffic will be “shifted from the north side of the intersection to the south side.”
The city expects the project to be completed by the end of the summer, though weather could cause delays.
