U.S. Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Amarillo) has already picked sides for the 2024 presidential election, backing former President Donald Trump’s campaign to return to the White House.

Following Trump’s announcement earlier this week that he would be running for president again in 2024, Jackson tweeted his support for the businessman-turned-politician. Jackson wrote, “Trump is the ONLY PERSON who can save America in 2024.” Jackson then shared a Newsmax article stating that he is supporting Trump in 2024.

Jackson has been a longtime ally of Trump since his first foray into politics in 2020. Jackson was elected to Congress with Trump’s endorsement in 2020 and 2022, and encouraged Trump to run for the White House again prior to his announcement.

Aside from Trump, former Montana Secretary of State Corey Stapleton has announced that he will also be seeking the Republican nomination for president.
