U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham is supporting Ronny Jackson for U.S. House District 13.

Graham, a South Carolina Republican and former 2016 presidential candidate, announced his support for Jackson in a statement issued on Wednesday. In the statement, Graham praised Jackson as the conservative candidate in the Republican primary race.

“I am proud to join President Trump in endorsing Retired Navy Rear Admiral and former White House Physician Ronny Jackson in Texas’ 13th Congressional District! Ronny is a strong conservative who will accomplish great things for our military and our country in Congress,” Graham said.

Graham joins a number of other high profile national Republicans in backing Jackson over former lobbyist Josh Winegarner in the primary runoff for District 13.

Voters will decide this contest on July 14.
