Amarillo City Hall has announced its holiday schedule for New Year’s Day.

According to the City of Amarillo, on Friday, January 1, City Hall offices will be closed in observance of the holiday. Trash collection routes will also change for the holiday, with Thursday routes serviced Wednesday and Friday routes serviced Thursday. For commercial routes, even-numbered routes will be serviced Thursday, while odd-numbered routes will be serviced Friday.

Transit will also see a change, with Amarillo City Transit operating normally on Thursday, and being closed on Friday. Additionally, all Amarillo Public Library locations will be closed on Friday and Saturday.
