Anthony Spanel has been named the new Environmental Health Department director for the City of Amarillo.
According to information released Monday, Spanel, 32, has been selected to take on the role after first beginning his career with Environmental Health in 2011. As an environmental health specialist, he was responsible for various routine inspections. In his new role, he oversee the supervisory and administrative duties of the department.
